WICKED MYSTIC is back with it's sinfully sick mixture of extreme horror
fiction and lurid art. Reading it, I'm sure, will guarantee eternal damnation
by any number of religious groups and, of course, it's well worth it.

The short stories in WM tend to take the reality of modern day life and
stretch it past the limits of your average serial killer. They do so with
visceral writing that take you over the edge, is delightfully degenerate and
definitely not for the innocent. One appreciates the fact these folks are
writing instead of inflicting their creativity on humanity in other forms.

Some of the art in this issue, although well executed, is a bit too
reminiscent of adolescent male doodling on blue-lined paper. Notable
exceptions are the cover by R.H. Phister and Ray Carlson, work by Matthew S.
Ronalds, Eugene Gryniewicz and GAK. One also wishes at some points that
editor Scheluchin had restrained some of the lay-out. It occasionally gets
busier than a meth user's stream of thought.

But for those who are brave enough to explore the merciless bloody regions of
darkest fiction, there's only one entry point: WICKED MYSTIC.
