The mirror might have caught somebody's headlight, but that didn't explain the strange energy that seemed to have been part of the light. Cold fear burrowed deeper into the back of his neck. Michael's dark wavy hair was rumpled from running his hand through it nervously, a habit he had picked up while studying for finals in law school. He shifted his eyes from the file that he had been staring at to the wall, he was surprised by a brown spider making its way up the wall near the doorway.
