It was not the first time she had had the nightmare.

She was on a flat graveled rooftop in broad daylight, level with the
upper stories of many surrounding buildings. Tin-walled elevator-shaft
shack, a satellite dish, door to a stairwell, whirling vents, a couple of
planters and deckchairs. Highly plausible, except that she had never
been in such a place.

With her was Bullfinch.
